Today marks National SRO Day, and Russell Independent truly has THE BEST. Officer Mills and Officer Tackett are always the first to arrive on campus and the last to leave. Thank you both for all that you do for our community! Your dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff is truly commendable. Officer Mills and Officer Tackett not only provide security but also foster a positive and supportive environment.
On this special day, it is important to recognize and appreciate the countless ways they go above and beyond. From participating in school events to offering guidance and mentorship, they are integral members of the Russell Independent family.

Congratulations to Landon Hammer and Wes Merrill OVC All-Conference Team!

This week in Red Devil Nation!

The Russell High School Academic Team sent two teams to the Fleming County Academic Tournament this past weekend. The Russell teams took both First Place (Snehan Saroch, Ahya Farhat, Justin Jiang, Myra Jindal) and Third Place (Chase Holbrook, Yasmeen Farhat, Harper Ragains, Ian Broun, Laura Jiang).
Russell's top team finished the day 8-0 with victories over Ashland, Fleming County, Mason County, and Campbell County, among others.

Red Devils, don't forget to get in line for breakfast!

February 3rd-7th is School Counselors Week! Let's take a moment to celebrate our incredible school counselors at Russell Independent. They play a vital role in supporting our students' academic, emotional, and social well-being. Thank you, school counselors, for everything you do! #RDN

Russell Independent will be closed for Winter Break from February 14th to 17th!

The RHS Academic Team not only secured 1st place overall but also won in every subject area! Devils will advance to the Regional competition held in February! 🤘

Although it’s chilly now, we’re anticipating warmer days ahead! The Russell Education Endowment Foundation (REEF) annual golf scramble will take place on Friday, May 9th, at 9 AM, hosted at the Bellefonte Country Club. Be sure to save the date!

RISD takes great pride in the accomplishments of the Russell Middle School wrestling team! They are the first wrestlers in the school's history to qualify for the middle school state championship. Three wrestlers have qualified, and one will attend as an alternate! #HornsUp

We are excited to return to school tomorrow, Russell Red Devils! Remember to dress warm for the cold mornings ahead. If your child needs a winter jacket, please contact our Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC).
